Cummins Turbo Technologies have been producing ‘Holset’ Turbochargers for the diesel engine industry for over 60 years. This presentation will cover the basics of turbochargers and their design and development, tracing some of the history of the product and explore the technical challenges met by the current product range.
Some future technologies will be discussed including the greater integration of the turbocharger system and the adoption of electric power within turbochargers as part of this.
