Event review: Low Carbon Vehicle 2013, Millbrook, 4-5 September 2013

The NAA and a group of NAA member companies took a stand at LCV2013, the UK’s leading low carbon vehicle event. Find out what NAA members thought of the show, and if you want to be part of the stand at next year’s event, you’ll need to book now!

The LCV event has established its unique positioning for the Low Carbon Vehicle community as the technology showcasing and networking event. Attracting UK and international visitors, LCV combines a technology exhibition with broad B2B focus, a Ride & Drive in a test track environment, networking activities and an extensive seminar programme. LCV2013 had 2,000 visitors, 150 exhibitors, and a range of the latest low carbon vehicles to drive.

Highlights from this year’s event included Transport Minister Norman Baker launching the Government’s strategy to drive forward ultra-low emission vehicles.

NAA member companies that took part in the stand, so benefitting from significantly reduced costs, were Automotive Comms, mi Technology, Optical 3D and Simtek, along with the Car for Young Drivers and STRIVE projects.

Commenting on the event, Clare Newbrook from Optical 3D said:

“I really enjoyed being part of the NAA stand at the LCV Show. It is a well organised, lively event attended by a wide range of exhibitors and visitors, all of whom seemed interested and keen to discuss new developments and services on offer from exhibiting companies. We came away with some worthwhile contacts and we will certainly consider attending this event or others as part of the NAA stand in the future.”

Ginny Simkins from Simtek (UK) said:

“The NAA stand at the LCV show was a perfect opportunity for an SME to have a presence at, and to contribute to, a cutting-edge technology show such as this. Our expectations were surpassed, in terms of the useful contacts and future collaborations forged over the two day event. We will certainly be keen to attend future events with the NAA.”

If you would like to be a part of next year’s NAA stand at LCV, please contact Carol as soon as possible.
