Interests include relaxing with my family on the rare occasions we are all in one place, cycling (road, mountain and spinning), skiing, squash, travel, walking, motorsport, especially the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and occasionally hanging off tall buildings or jumping off mountains!

    Too many favourites to list, but a couple I enjoyed and can recommend – Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, and Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson

    Best motoring moment
    Dead heat; driving a Vectra Britcar (endurance racer) car around Oulton Park, and driving a Jaguar XKR-S at 175mph at Jaguar’s test circuit. The memory of either one makes me grin like a Cheshire cat.

    Best business advice you’ve ever received?
    Practice MBWA – Management By Wandering Around – literally and as a metaphor.
