LCV2014 to host Low Carbon Vehicle Dinner and Awards Ceremony with the LowCVP, 10 September 2014

    • LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards to be presented on 10 Sept in Milton Keynes
    • Event set to be the leading LCV industry social & networking occasion of the year

Cenex – the UK’s first Centre of Excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies and the organiser of the UK’s largest technology showcasing and networking event for the UK low carbon vehicle community (www.cenex-lcv.co.uk) – has announced a collaboration with the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP) for this year’s Low Carbon Vehicle Event, LCV2014. For the first time, Cenex will be hosting an LCV2014 networking dinner on Wednesday 10 September 2014, at Jury’s Inn, Milton Keynes. The central feature of this year’s dinner will be the LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards.

The LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards are a well-established event on the LCV industry calendar. They celebrate the achievements of organisations and individuals who have made the greatest contribution to accelerating the shift to low carbon vehicles and fuels over the preceding year. The Awards are accredited by the RSA which enables the winners to be considered for entry to the highly prestigious European Business and the Environment (EBAE) Awards.

Full details about how to enter for the Awards and about category sponsorship opportunities etc will be published on the LowCVP website, and elsewhere, shortly

All LCV2014 Delegates and Exhibitors are invited to the LCV2014 Dinner on 10th September, which will commence at 18:30 and include a drinks reception, three course meal, key note speaker and awards ceremony. Tickets cost £80 and will be available from Thursday, 1st May. There are a variety of purchasing options available including full tables, half tables and individual tickets.

Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex says, “We are extremely excited about the addition of an event dinner at LCV2014 and we are pleased that LowCVP has partnered with us to run their Low Carbon Vehicle Champion Awards. The LCV event has become a central meeting point for all key stakeholders within the industry and the dinner will provide an ideal opportunity for the community to come together to discuss the issues of the day.

“The LowCVP’s Low Carbon Champions Awards are recognised as the premier awards for our sector. The awards help recognise achievements, best practice and successes within the sector and hosting the Awards at the LCV 2014 dinner has obvious synergies. This collaboration is an example of the close working relationship between Cenex and the LowCVP that dates back to the formation of Cenex in 2005.”

Andy Eastlake, the LowCVP’s Managing Director said: “We are delighted to be working with Cenex on this exciting new event. I think it really will be the ‘can’t miss’ social and networking event of the year for all those involved in the rapidly growing low carbon vehicles and fuels industries.”

Tickets to the Low Carbon Vehicle Dinner can be purchased by contacting lcvsales@cenex.co.uk or +44 (0)1509 635 756. Parking is available at the venue.
