NAA Update: Help us design the future NAA offering – please take part in our survey

The University of Liverpool and the NAA are jointly undertaking a study into NAA membership. We will be trying to understand which of our existing services you value, and what additional services may be of interest to you. Your feedback will help shape our future offering.

As you are aware I finish each of these newsletter articles with a request for you to join the NAA if you are not already a paid member, so this month I am going to start with membership.

At our Board Meeting in April we had a long discussion on membership; how to increase it, are we offering the right services, and we also heard from BioNow, another ex-NWDA cluster, on their approach to membership. Following on from our lively discussions, the University of Liverpool and NAA are jointly undertaking a study into NAA membership. We will be trying to understand which of our existing services you value, what additional services may be of interest to you, and also trying to understand your current status on collaborative and networking practices. There will be a mixture of survey techniques, and your feedback will help shape our future offering. Please take a few minutes to respond to the questionnaire; we will also be asking companies that show interest in some of the potential offerings for more detailed feedback so that you can help design the future NAA services.

The NAA has had another busy month, with the formal start of the AMSCI project, gearing up for round two of the Business Excellence project and a successful visit to Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. I recommend that you take a few minutes to read about these activities elsewhere in the newsletter.

The sponsors for the Annual Dinner are taking shape, we only have a couple of places remaining; so if you would like to be one of our sponsors, please let Zoe know this month. Next month we will be releasing information on the names of the awards and the application process for them.

Similarly by early July I need to finalise which companies will be attending the CENEX LCV2013 show; if you want to be part of the NAA stand then please see the article in this newsletter and speak to me during the coming week.

Don’t forget that we are starting to sign up more companies for our Business Excellence project; so if you are not already a member, then please contact Martin Andrews (m.andrews@nwautoalliance.com). If you would like to attend the Business Excellence Networking meeting on 10 July, but are not a member of Business Excellence, then Martin, Susan and I will hold a sign-up session at the meeting so that you can become a member.  Obviously we would also be happy to assist you in becoming a full member of the NAA at the same time!
