Niche Vehicle Competition Opens
The Niche Vehicle Network is continuing to invest in R&D projects focussed on the niche and specialist vehicle manufacturing sector.
Our 2015-16 competition, supported by Innovate UK and OLEV, is providing up to £1,000,000 of grant funding to support the development and demonstration of innovative niche vehicle technologies, primarily applicable to non-human powered, road-going niche vehicles, within the following categories:
- Improved Fuel Efficiency & Carbon Reduction
- Weight Reduction & Recyclability
All projects should aim to support the growth and competitiveness of the independent niche vehicle manufacturing sector and will demonstrate the developed technology on a UK niche vehicle.

To receive a competition application pack, please email your request to: nvn@cenex.co.uk by the Noon on the 1st of June 2015.
Please remember that only the project lead can request an application pack.
The application pack contains the following information:
- Competition guidance notes in PDF
- Application Form in MS Word
- Annex A – Project Costs in MS Excel
- Collaboration Agreement
On receipt of your application pack you will receive a Unique Identification Number, which must be quoted in all communications.
Please be aware of the following deadlines, which you will need to adhere to during the application process:
Notification Deadline: Noon, 1st June 2015
Proposal Deadline: Noon, 30th June 2015
