Vehicles manufacturers world-wide are looking at opportunities in Iran that the opening of the economy may offer. According to OICA statistics, Iran sold over 1.2m vehicles and produced just under 1.1m vehicles in 2014, making Iran one of the largest car markets in the Middle East.

Nigeria has the largest population in Africa and in 2014 overtook South Africa to be the largest economy on the continent. The country is attracting attention from global automakers with VW, Honda and Tata all having recently announced plans for investment or the resumption of production there.
