Semta Advanced Skills Accreditation Scheme

Launched by Vince Cable on 21 June 2012 the SEMTA Advanced Skills Accreditation Scheme (ASAS)  enables employers of all sizes access to a flexible programme of masters degree level training in key technology areas.  It has been based upon a hugely successful scheme that was run by Jaguar Land Rover, but is now available for all companies.  ASAS provides the best courses from the best sources, addressing priority skills gaps identified by employers.  There are no academic prerequisites, which means that individuals can study without having to register for a full masters programme and businesses will be able to access modules as and when required.  Leading Universities will partner with SEMTA to deliver the scheme which will also be monitored and developed by an employer board to ensure the content truly meets business needs.
