Business Mission to Wuhan, China, 30 May 2018
Start date: 30/05/2018
Cost: For more information contact: Kevin Finucane
China Southern will launch the first direct flight service between the UK and Wuhan on 30 May 2018. To mark the event Wuhan Government will be sending a business delegation on the first outward flight. They will visit Manchester during the visit. The British Consulate-General is keen for a UK business delegation to travel in the opposite direction on the first flight to Wuhan.
This delegation would be led by Richard Burn and be comprised of companies from the Northern Powerhouse. During the visit to Wuhan companies would: take part in a NP-Wuhan Business Forum, join a networking event with local companies, meet senior government leaders and have the option of joining events linked to a UK Design Week that will be happening at the same time. Companies could also arrange bespoke meetings via CBBC and the OMIS service.
This is an opportunity for companies to be part of a high-profile event that will generate significant local media coverage. It will also offer a snapshot of Wuhan, one of China’s most dynamic large cities. The Consulate-General is currently negotiating free air tickets with China Southern. If these talks are successful we could make some of these available to companies.
