    Industry Forum – Japan Best Practice Programme, 9-16 November 2013

    Through Industry Forum’s unique heritage and links with Japanese Industries/partners, this programme offers unprecedented access to senior management and the shop floor of recognised world leading companies. The programme stimulates ideas and enthusiasm and gives delegates the vision to achieve measurable sustainable improvement in their own organisations.

    Background
    Japanese Industry is globally recognised as being the world leader in its approach to continuous improvement (Kaizen), focused on improving Quality, Cost and Delivery performance, utilising Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and the Toyota Production System (TPS).

    Industry Forum has had a long association with Japanese Industry and was the first organisation to be appointed by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) as an assessment agency for the prestigious TPM award process.

    Now in its ninth year, this best practice programme, organised in cooperation with JIPM-Solutions, offers a unique opportunity for delegates to experience first-hand TPM deployment and innovative improvement techniques, to help their own organisations move toward the goal of waste elimination, zero accidents, zero breakdown and zero defects.

    Who should attend?
    The programme is designed for Senior Executives/Managers responsible for their organisations continuous improvement or TPM programmes and graduates identified for fast track to senior management. The programme is designed to be of interest for delegates from both manufacturing and process industries.

    Programme Overview
    The programme, which will be led by experienced Industry Forum subject matter experts, includes lectures from leading experts in Kaizen and TPM, and visits to world leading organisations in the manufacturing and process industries

    Each visit will have a specific theme, which will include:

    1.         Planning, implementing and maintaining an effective TPM system
    2.         Effective use of the Toyota Production System (TPS) to eliminate waste
    3.         Developing a world class training and education system
    4.         An innovate approach to Kaizen
    5.         Developing a culture for an effective autonomous maintenance system

    Post Programme Activities
    Following the programme delegates will be assisted in developing robust improvement plans to implement in their own organisations and on-going networking will be facilitated through online forums.

    Places are strictly limited to 20 delegates and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
