SMMT Industry Forum are proud of their unique links with Japanese industries and partners which allow them to offer UK manufacturers, striving to become world leaders in their sectors, unprecedented access to the senior management and shop floor of recognised world leading companies in Japan through the Best Practice Programme.
The event, supported by the Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), offers a unique opportunity for delegates to experience first-hand TPM deployment and innovative improvement techniques, to help their own organisations move toward the goal of waste elimination, zero accidents, zero breakdown and zero defects.
The programme is designed to stimulate ideas and enthusiasm and gives delegates the opportunity to test their vision to achieve measurable sustainable improvement in their own organisations against real life examples. It is designed for Senior Executives and Managers responsible for their organisations continuous improvement or TPM programmes.
Each site visit will have a specific theme, which will include:
- Planning, implementing and maintaining an effective TPM system
- Effective use of the Toyota Production System (TPS) to eliminate waste
- Developing a world class training and education system
- An innovate approach to Kaizen
- Developing a culture for an effective autonomous maintenance system
