Sensor City business support seminars:- Internet of things: Hype or Helpful ? Exploring the Future Business Opportunities
Start date: 27/07/2017
Cost: Please register via Link
So what is all this hype about the Internet of Things? Is it really the next phase of the Internet, will it really transform our lives, is it really worth £322 billion to the UK Economy by 2020?
For the more seasoned of us, are we at the peak of IoT gimmicky products and hype? Has the bubble now burst and will application after application become viable and then valuable?
Join us on the 27th July for a joint IX Liverpool and Sensor City event, presented by Prof. Matt Wilson from Telecoms Cloud and you’ll discover how the Internet of Things could affect society, the workplace and your home, and learn what (if any) opportunities could arise out of it.
By the end of this event, you should learn about:
- The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that the Internet of Things will bring to us.
- The business and technological opportunities of IoT and how you can take advantage, from any industry you are in.
- How to prepare yourself, your home, business or school for what change IoT will bring about.
- How you can take advantage of IoT in your product or service, gain competitive advantages, provide a better customer service and/or usher in a new wave of efficiency into your organisation.
Places are limited, please book early!
Telecoms Cloud are generously sponsoring the pizzas and beer so there’ll be refreshments from 6:30pm, with the talks starting at 7(ish).
Ahead of this event, IX Liverpool will be holding an open Board Meeting, starting at 17:00hrs. This is open to the general public, so if you want to come along and learn more please do.
