Come and see how Mini Gears grew the company from £1.5m turnover to over £9m and became the largest privately-owned gear manufacturing company in the UK.

Mini Gears is a specialist subcontract engineering company manufacturing gears, racks and machined parts which you will see being produced at its 35,000 sq.ft. machine shop.

The tour will focus on how Mini Gears has developed a strategy to respond to changes in the market which have resulted from the recession and low cost outsourcing. This includes improvements in production and processes, higher quality and Kanban-derived delivery systems.

To achieve this Mini Gears has also invested in the culture of the organisation, including lean manufacturing to drive forward significant change. It is now a strong, highly competitive customer focused company.
