SMMT is glad to inform you that this year’s Meet the Buyer event will be hosted in partnership with UKTI’s Automotive Investment Organisation on 25 June in London. Read more here.
The event will support the sourcing activities of both UK and overseas based purchasing organisations, and encourage inward investment in processes not currently supported in the UK. As in the past 6 years, the event will aim to match OEM and Tier 1 buyers to suitable suppliers based on the buyer’s sourcing requirements.
SMMT uses the Automotive Supplier Finder (ASF) to source the companies that meet buyer demand and are subsequently invited to Meet the Buyer events.
If you are interested in participating this year please follow the steps below:
- STEP 1: Expression of interest (EOI) – email supplychain@smmt.co.uk and entitle your email “Meet the Buyer: Expression of Interest” or go here.
- STEP 2: Commodity demand list will be made available in due course.
- STEP 3: Update your Automotive Supplier Finder company profile using the editing tool.We use the details you provide on your products and services to put together a list of the companies that can potentially supply against the demand lists provided by each of the buyers. It is important that you check we have the details of your capabilities.
- STEP 4: We have exhibition opportunities available for this event. Please mark on the Expression of Interest form if you are interested in being sent further details when they become available or email supplychain@smmt.co.uk. Please note that by expressing interest we cannot guarantee a space.
