Join us at Pirelli Tyres, Carlisle for our next Members Networking Meeting.
Pirelli Tyres Ltd produce around 3 million high performance tyres each year exclusively for the Premium car segments. Customers include JLR, Bentley and Porsche.
Tyres are supplied to both OE and replacement markets and 70% of Carlisle production is exported. Production started at the Carlisle plant in 1969 and since then the factory has enjoyed substantial investments in new processes and technologies to produce tyres of the very highest level in terms of quality and performance.
The factory specialises in SUV tyres, indeed it is the technological R&D centre for SUV tyres in Europe. Pirelli have extensive testing facilities at Carlisle and MIRA.
In 2011 the Carlisle factory was awarded an RGF grant for development of a range of ‘Green Performance’ tyres which improve fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions.
Come and take a look at their operation and maximise your membership by taking the opportunity to network with other members, invited guests, NAA staff and the Board. You never know what opportunities may arise or what you may learn to your companies benefit.
**We would like to work with and support more automotive and related manufacturers in Cumbria and will therefore be holding a Business Excellence sign-up meeting between 10:30 and 12:00, which will provide an opportunity for companies to join the Business Excellence programme. – The programme offers mentoring and technical support, networking and promotional opportunities which are free of charge to the companies, courtesy of ERDF.
Our aim is to meet interested companies in the morning at Pirelli from 10:30am to 12:00pm, complete their registration for the Business Excellence Programme and for them to attend the NAA members networking event (free of charge) in the afternoon.
