Niche Vehicle Competitions Launch Event, 7 July 2016

The Niche Vehicle Network will hold a launch event for its 2016 Collaborative R&D Competitions on 7th July 2016 at the National Conference Centre, close to the NEC.

The focus of the 2016 Niche Vehicle competitions will again be on low carbon automotive technologies, including powertrain electrification, disruptive technologies, and lightweight materials and structures.

The competitions launch event is open to UK companies active in automotive research, design/ engineering and manufacturing, including niche vehicle manufacturers and their supply chains.

In addition to presenting the full scope and eligibility criteria of the competitions, we will be giving selected companies the opportunity to make a 5-minute pitch at the event, to raise awareness of their areas of technology and product development capability as well as their project ideas, and to attract potential collaborators. The pitch sessions will be followed by live consortium-building activities.

Places at the event are limited to 2 delegates per company and we are expecting over 100 UK automotive companies to be present.

The event is free to attend but pre-registration is essential as places are limited.

We expect to open the competitions on 1st July, when full details of the competition scope and the relevant application forms will be made available.
