    SMMT is pleased to announce the commodity list is now available for the next Meet the Buyer event.

    On Thursday 23 May 2013, SMMT’s free supply chain event returns for the 7th time, matching more automotive buyers with UK suppliers than any other event.

    Meet the Buyer 2013:

    SMMT is aiming for the 2013 event to be the biggest yet with the inclusion of aftermarket buyers, international buyers and a facilitated networking area providing more private meeting space and a wider range of opportunities for companies of all sizes.

    Industry is now experiencing the effect of the recent OEM investments flowing down through the supply chain, which will continue to create fantastic new opportunities for UK suppliers in 2013.

    Last year’s event saw over 50 purchasing personnel from over 20 OEM and Tier 1 automotive organisations including Aston Martin, Nissan, CAB Automotive and Faurecia. Over 330 pre scheduled one to one meetings took place on the day.

    To register interest in this ‘invitation only’ event, follow the steps outlined below:

    STEP 1: Expression of interest (EOI) – email and entitle your email “Meet the Buyer: Expression of Interest” or go to here.

    STEP 2: Commodity demand list version 2 download here and email to or return by fax to 020 7344 1675,
    Return by Friday 22 March.

    STEP 3: Update your Automotive Supplier Finder company profile using the MIDedit. We use the details you provide on your products and services to  put together a list of the companies that can potentially supply against the demand lists provided by each of the buyer. It is important that you check we have the details of your capabilities.

    STEP 4: We have exhibition opportunities available for this event. Please      download the order form and return to Spaces are assigned on a first come first served basis.

    Simply by completing the form, we will ensure that each of the buyers participating in this year’s event will see your company’s capabilities over the next few weeks.

    As with all of these types of events, they are by invitation only based on the buyers’ requirements and a list of the buyers will be available to view once we have the full list confirmed but for further information please visit the website or read the web story here.
