SMMT Event: Second Meet the Funder – 24 October 2013 – Express your interest

    Start date: 24/10/2013

A key objective of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd (SMMT) is sustaining and developing the UK’s automotive supply chain and implementing ways to improve the two-way dialogue between the financial sector and the UK automotive industry

Following the success of the first Meet the Funder event in November 2012, SMMT is planning to hold another event later this year. We have had a great response from the high street banks, other financial and non-financial support organisations.

Participation in this year’s event will give you the opportunity to meet various representatives from financial, non-finance, national and local support organisations across the sector to discuss available support for growth and other business opportunities.

The event is provisionally booked for the 24 October 2013 in the Midlands (venue to be confirmed). To express your interest in attending the event either as a company seeking support or as a provider of funding and/or support please complete the Expression of Interest form and once we have further information we will be in touch.

SMMTs Funding and Support guide brings together sources of money and support useful for businesses active in the automotive sector.

The guide is organised into European and national/regional schemes with each scheme being further categorised into the following areas:

    • Funding: grants for specific projects where monies received do not need to be repaid.
    • Finance: access to loans which is subject to repayment.
    • Support: incentives and tax breaks, these may be direct or indirect.
