Automotive Comms – Altrincham
Automotive Comms specialises in strategic marketing and communication consultancy in the low carbon and electric vehicle sector, and also founded Green Car Guide, the UK’s original green car website in 2006.
Bentley Motors – Crewe
Bentley is involved in a range of low carbon initiatives, including the development of plug-in capability, engine downsizing and cylinder deactivation technology. Bentley Motors also became the UK’s first carbon neutral luxury automotive factory (Crewe).
Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) Ltd – Liverpool
BAC Ltd has developed the New Mono, meeting the latest stringent EU6D emission standards.
Eaton Corp – Manchester
Eaton Ltd works to improve engine efficiency, hybridisation, and vehicle electrification.
PSA (Vauxhall) – Ellesmere Port
Vauxhall has pledged to produce a fully-electric or plug-in hybrid version of every model by 2024.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) – Liverpool
In 2018, JLR was the first manufacturer to develop and introduce a premium, all-electric SUV (the Jaguar I-PACE). Today, its customers can choose degrees of electrification across both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Leyland Trucks Ltd – Leyland
In 2019, the DAF CF Electric was awarded the Green Truck Logistics Solution 2019 Award, a prestigious accolade for the deployment of promising upcoming technologies for innovative, sustainable logistics around Europe.
NGF Europe – St. Helens
NGF EUROPE is at the forefront in the design, manufacture and marketing of specialised glass cord used for the reinforcement of synchronous drive belts. These small filament diameter glass cords are changing the way engines are designed, resulting in greener more fuel-efficient cars.
NGF EUROPE works closely with its customers to provide unique added value products one of which is the belt-in-oil, a sustainable alternative to chain, offering reduced emissions and improved fuel economy.
Oaktec – Lancaster
Oaktec is a low carbon innovation company involved in a number of low carbon hybrid powertrain and vehicle projects. Oaktec’s Pulse-R gas engine is an innovative, low cost, internal combustion engine that has been prototyped, developed and extensively tested using a range of gas fuels, including bio-gas, with exceptional results in terms of efficiency and emissions.
Pirelli – Preston
Pirelli has developed and manufactured a range of ‘Green Performance’ SUV tyres – branded as ‘Scorpion Verde’ – which improve fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions.
Sigmatex – Runcorn
Sigmatex manufactures carbon fibre that assists with vehicle light weighting and therefore emissions reduction.

Assembly Solutions is a UK manufacturer of electric vehicle wiring looms and hybrid vehicle wiring looms.
Clean Air Power – Leicestershire
Clean Air Power is a global leader in the development of Dual-Fuel and second-generation MicroPilot engine systems. By substituting natural gas for diesel, the Group’s engine systems lower emissions of carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen and particulates.
EA Technology – Chester
EA Technology, a specialist in asset management solutions for owners and operators of electrical assets, has been involved in Western Power Distribution’s Electric Nation EV smart charging project as well as leading the £9m Ofgem-funded My Electric Avenue project.
Far UK – Nottingham
Far UK advises on the use of composite components within the industry. One example is a lightweight battery box critical for increasing the range and efficiency of electric vehicles.
GETRAG Ford Transmissions – Liverpool
GETRAG produces transmissions for hybrid and electric vehicles, reducing vehicle emissions.
Libralato Ltd – Manchester
Libralato Ltd is an innovation specialist in low carbon vehicle technologies. Its new solutions for the development of hybrid systems have been validated through the European Green Cars Initiative and Innovate UK.
Mi Vehicle Integration – Preston
Mi Vehicle Integration is actively working with partners on hybrid vehicle programmes, bio-fuel and other alternative fuel initiatives.
Performance Springs – Lytham St.Annes
Performance Springs specialises in the design and development of high efficiency engine valve and fuel injection springs for lower emissions as well as reduced fuel consumption and improved reliability.

The aluminium manufactured by Simmal is used in vehicle structures, helping with vehicle light weighting and thus lower emissions.
