    Matthew Kershaw

    Board Member Pennine Quality Consulting

Matthew became associated with the NAA whilst he was the Managing Director of Setco Automotive (UK) Ltd., a premium manufacturer of clutch components for the commercial vehicle market.  During his time at the company, Matthew lead the diversification of the company’s product offering, teaming up with other NAA members in order to promote their products to Setco’s established customer base.  Matthew also championed the company’s initiatives to successfully gain certification to TS16949 and ISO45001.  Whilst under Matthew’s leadership, Setco gained a number of awards from the NAA, including the People and Skills award in 2019.

More recently, Matthew has gone on to establish Pennine Quality Consulting.  During his time at Setco Automotive, along with his working relationship with many other manufacturing companies in the region, Matthew recognised that it is often excessively time consuming and overwhelming for small companies to gain the in-house knowledge and competence that can be required to meet the expectations of their customers and of the regulatory bodies.  Pennine Quality Consulting was therefore established to provide this competence to companies on a flexible and part-time basis.

Matthew has attained a BEng(hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Huddersfield along with an Executive MBA from UCLan and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.  Matthew is keen to support the local manufacturing and automotive sectors, hence being happy to support the NAA through his role as a director.

Matthew enjoys running and mountain biking around his local countryside in the Lancashire Pennine hills.
