ELASTO UK specialise in custom formulated thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds, delivered efficiently and quickly.
TPEs are a family of rubber like materials that combine the characteristics of rubber with the recyclability and processing advantages of plastics. They are used in a wide variety of applications in the medical, electronics, automotive, packaging, construction and consumer markets.
TPEs are extremely versatile; they can be hard, soft, elastic, abrasion and scratch resistant, flexible, transparent or coloured. We’ve engineered grades that are flame-retardant, chemical resistant, conductive, insulating, lightweight and even water-swellable! TPEs are easy to process and fully recyclable.
We have developed many unique solutions for our automotive customers including TPEs with high-heat and oil resistance, lightweight, non-slip grades for automotive mats, grades containing post-consumer waste for EU ELV directives. We have grades approved by a range of automotive OEMs.
