NAA Member News: IoT Horizon Turns 5!
As we celebrate five years in business, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank our innovative clients, supportive partners, and amazing team for being on this journey with us.
IoT Horizon was established by Deyrick Allen, our Managing Director, who has over 25 years of experience in Technology and IT Security organisations such as Hewlett-Packard and Diagonal Security. Deyrick was also the Sales and Marketing Director of Universal Smart Cards, a leading smart card manufacturer. During his 10 years with the business, Deyrick was instrumental in the growth from £2 million to £8m+ turnover. In 2017, with a “now or never” opportunity, Deyrick decided to take the leap and build his own business.
Fast forward five years and IoT Horizon has an experienced team dedicated to helping companies adopt digital technologies. We are trusted advisors to both private and public sector organisations, members of the Digital Advisory Board for the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership and Innovation Consultants for East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce. The business has offices in Rawtenstall (Lancashire) and Sci-Tech Daresbury (Warrington) and has become a business where innovation and ideas are encouraged and collaboration flourishes.
IoT Horizon helps clients to collect data on their people, buildings, processes, and assets so that they can make better and more informed decisions. With this data, management teams can build data-driven business cases to clearly demonstrate why it is critical to invest in technology solutions, for example, solutions that improve productivity, health, and safety or reduce energy consumption. IoT sensors can provide the baseline information that the business needs to build the business case, prove the viability, and demonstrate the impact of any solution/measure implemented.
All data collected is visualised and accessible through our IoT Platform, Neronis®. Through our platform clients can set thresholds and alerts so that action can be taken immediately. We also provide an analytics service to help our clients understand and get the most out of their data.
With rising energy costs, we continue to help companies obtain clear insights on their energy consumption. For example, where energy is being used, by what, and when? We also monitor occupancy, and environmental conditions which enables us to analyse historical trends and identify areas for improvement. For example:
- Analysing building occupancy against utility bills.
- Identifying whether water, heating, and/or electricity is overused or whether unoccupied rooms are still heated.
- For clients with real-estate, the data can also provide insight into whether the right amount is charged for space rental.
We’re incredibly proud of our journey over the past five years, the solutions we have implemented, and the clients we advise. If you’d like to learn more about our solutions, please contact us here today
…and finally, here’s to the next five years!
