New NAA member company: KZN Solutions
KZN Solutions is a sector-specific consultancy & training organisation. It specialises in the ability to be able to design a bespoke company approach to training for apprenticeships and employees at all levels and in so doing achieve sustainable improvements in quality, cost and delivery…
Turn your workforce into a Lean Mean Working Machine
If you’re struggling to juggle productivity and profit within the current economic climate the good news is that you’re not alone. It could be that you need to adopt just a small change or maybe you need to focus on a business improvement plan across your whole plant.
Our coaching and training methods focus on teams and the individual, enhancing morale, motivation and productivity. The knock-on effect is twofold:
- Staff turnover is reduced as individuals feel valued and connected with both small and large organisational changes
- The business itself will achieve significant savings and enable the removal of non-value adding activity
KZN Solutions’ partners include Knowsley Community College which gives access to appropriate funding and additional expertise to support the changes that are recommended.
The Apprenticeship Levy and you
If you haven’t yet heard, in April 2017 the way the government funds apprenticeships in England is changing. Some employers will be required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy, and there will be changes to the funding for apprenticeship training for all employers. The broad principle is that large employers with a pay bill in excess of £3m will be required to pay what is being called a levy.
KZN Solutions sees this as an opportunity for you to optimise your position and put a ‘Levy Plan’ in place whereby the company can establish what the impact will be on your organisation. KZN will investigate fully funded provisions that you can access prior to the levy taking affect, such as Business Improvement Techniques. The company will match apprenticeship delivery to the requirements of your business ensuring that you use your quota of apprenticeships. It will feed back on what your return on this investment will be and will continue to work with you to assess the implications each financial year.
Michael Bainbridge, Managing Director of KZN Solutions said: “The future of your business lies in keeping it competitive, profitable and flexible. To do this you need great systems in place and great people to work these systems. As an NAA member we want to continue to add value to the sector by showing members how they can adapt. The economic landscape isn’t going to change any time soon but you can.”
