PACCAR is a global market leader in the truck industry and manufactures trucks under the brands of DAF Trucks, Leyland Trucks, Kenworth and Peterbilt. As an Approved Tier 1 Supplier, Scorpion have been supplying PACCAR for a total of 12 consecutive years, meeting and exceeding PACCAR expectations of maintaining a defect rate of less than 50 PPM (parts per million).
With its major investment into its new state of the art manufacturing facility along with substantial improvements in production processes, Scorpion has now driven down its PPM figure to zero defects over the last 12 months. In response, PACCAR has awarded Scorpion its prestigious “10 PPM Quality Achievement award”.
Scorpion MD Mark Downing said: “The PACCAR 10PPM Quality Achievement Award is a perfect testament to the hard work and unwavering dedication of our quality, engineering and production teams. In the last 12 months alone, through a major investment in capital and people we’ve doubled our production capacity whilst simultaneously improving quality throughout all our manufacturing processes – ensuring we continue to deliver world-class, top quality products at all times.”-
