Free business innovation support through the REBus programme
The Technology Strategy Board’s Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs) have merged into one, and one of the programmes is REBus (Resource Efficient Business Models), a €3.1m 3.5 year initiative led by WRAP.
The programme is providing in-depth expert support for select businesses who want to explore the opportunities relating to selling products differently (eg. servitisation, leasing, buy-back, or product lifetime extension), such that they deliver a better service to the customer, increased profitability, and increased resilience. There are striking figures – work has shown that businesses across Europe could improve their bottom lines by almost £90 billion, create an additional 160,000 jobs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 520 millions of tonnes in CO2 equivalent per year.
Companies so far signed up to receive the support include B&Q, Argos, NHS, and Samsung. A call has just been launched for SMEs, initially focused on the textiles and electronics sectors.
