Funding News: Enabling Innovation Team (EIT) Rail Customer Experience £1m Competition

The Enabling Innovation Team (EIT) has been established to accelerate innovation in the GB rail industry, and is seeking innovations from non-rail sectors covering technologies, services and business processes which can transform rail customer’s experience.

Backed by the Department of Transport a number of key rail industry challenges are being addressed including, via this competition, innovations which can transform the rail customer’s experience.

EIT and the rail industry acknowledge that in addition to innovations from within the existing rail supply chain a significant opportunity exists to seek innovations from non-rail sectors covering technologies, services and business processes which can transform rail customer’s experience. As such the EIT is seeking to promote and encourage innovators from the widest possible industry cross-section to participate in this £1 million prize-bearing competition.

    What you need to do:
Automotive has members with expertise and potential innovative solutions relevant to transforming the rail customer experience and ultimately of benefit to the GB rail industry.

This opportunity not only presents potential innovators with an opportunity to compete for a share of the £1 million prize, it also provides an opportunity to highlight their innovations to key stakeholders (and funders) within the rail industry and potentially showcase at the finalists live event planned to take place in London late September.
