In the Driving Seat: Tom Rootes, Agile Group Systems and Services
Tom Rootes says his best motoring moment was going sideways through the exit of Blanchimont at Spa Francorchamps in his S1 Lotus Elise, although he doesn’t say if that was intentional (or if the car made it through unscathed)…

Personal
I live with my family on the coast of Scotland and most of my hobbies are water-based; surfing, SUP surfing and wing foiling. I also mountain bike and fittingly for this article, I have always loved driving and track days. In 2023 I sustained a spinal cord injury so I have had to learn all my hobbies twice!

Best motoring moment
Going sideways through the exit of Blanchimont at Spa Francorchamps in my S1 Lotus Elise. This is closely followed by teaching my daughter to drive.
