Industry Event: Make UK Webinar: Product Labelling – UKCA and CE Marking
Doing business with Europe has changed. The UK has left the Single Market and Customs Union, therefore new rules for product labelling will apply from 1st Jan 2023. Make UK successfully lobbied government for a one-year delay to provide manufacturing the time to correctly label products for European and UK markets.
You are invited to join us for our Product Labelling: UKCA and CE Marking webinar for practical guidance to support you with the changes, taking place on Thursday 28th April at 12:00 – 13:30.
This webinar will provide an up-to-date overview of what the product labelling requirements are for UK-EU trade of manufactured goods and machinery, in particular, UKCA and CE markings, hearing from both UKAS and BEIS.
The session will provide a broad overview of the new rules alongside specific examples to illustrate the practical and technical implications for GB manufacturers when labelling goods and machinery. We will also look at gaining certification from notified bodies and the session will conclude with helpful guidance on operating within the new rules.
Attendees will hear from UKAS who will provide an update on their role as the national accreditation body and their strategy for GB based Testing arrangements in the post EU environment in the period up to 1 Jan 2023 and beyond.
In addition, we will be joined by the Department for Business and Industrial Strategy who will discuss how to secure a UKCA mark, when and how long the UK will still recognise CE marked goods, as well as looking at changes to UK Notified Bodies.
