    Industry events: SMMT Events at Automechanika Birmingham, 7-9 June 2016, NEC

    Now is the time to book 7-9 June 2016 into your business calendar as the world’s leading exhibition for the automotive supply chain and aftermarket comes to the UK for the very first time.

    SMMT will be hosting a number of its key events at the show in 2016 including Meet the Buyer and Open Forum, Logistics Forum and introducing the Aftermarket Forum.

    With over 550 domestic and international exhibitors attending at the NEC, Automechanika Birmingham guarantees visitors unrivalled access to the very latest products and services available to the automotive sector, as well as an insight into its future.

    As a visitor, you will benefit from great networking opportunities and a comprehensive seminar programme that will address key issues and developments including the changing car market, advanced IT and vehicle connectivity, future drives, staff skills, training and business best practice.

    Day 1: Open Forum brings together 400+ delegates for a day of presentations, knowledge sharing and discussion. The event offers excellent networking opportunities with leading senior figures from the automotive industry, focusing on opportunities in the UK’s automotive supply chain, with experts and key decision makers speaking on a variety of industry topics.

    Day 2: Meet the Buyer is a ‘by invitation only’ networking event between buyers and suppliers. Based on submitted profiles meeting requirements of the buyers, pre-scheduled meetings will take place at the request of each buyer. We are currently taking expressions of interest in attending the event.

    Day 3: UK Logistics and Aftermarket Forum sessions will include logistics and aftermarket experts discussing new and upcoming challenges and distribution issues in the logistics industry and practical day-to-day challenges and opportunities that exist in the independent aftermarket as well as on horizon topics that need to be considered to ensure a healthy future for both sectors.
