Jaguar Land Rover Continues to Accelerate Growth
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has sold more than 46,000 vehicles in September, up 7 per cent on a year ago.
During the first nine months of the year, the manufacturing giant, which has significant operations in Halewood, has sold 351,153 vehicles – a 12 per cent rise on 2013’s performance at the same period.
Andy Goss, JLR group sales operations director, said: “Jaguar Land Rover has delivered continued solid growth in September. Our investment in new products continues with the debut of the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Jaguar XE this month, giving us a very strong, desirable range of products appealing to more customers than ever before – and many more new models in the pipeline.”
JLR’s regional performance year-to-date showed 39 per cent growth in the China region, 18 per cent in Asia Pacific, 7 per cent in North America, 6 per cent in the UK and 5 per cent in Europe, with other overseas markets 1 per cent down.
Land Rover recorded a robust sales performance for September, selling 37,795 vehicles, up 9 per cent. Calendar year-to-date sales reached 287,919 vehicles, up 13 per cent year on year on the back of continued strong customer demand, particularly for the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and Range Rover Evoque.
Jaguar sales in September retailed 8,504, up 1 per cent. Calendar year-to-date sales were up 10 per cent year-on-year at 63,234 vehicles with the F-Type continuing to drive sales and raise brand awareness around the world.
