NAA Business Excellence Programme Update: Forthcoming events and please apply for funding for any projects now before it’s too late

The number of Business Excellence members currently stands at 127, and 98 projects are being supported; therefore again we are getting closer to our target of 133 members and we are now in the final month of membership registration

If you’re aware of any companies in your supply chain that could take advantage of becoming a member please pass on Amanda’s details (a.holmes@nwautoalliance.com) and she will contact them to arrange a meeting in the next month.

As you are probably aware, the Business Excellence ‘targets’ are the key outputs our members highlight at project initiation stage; Jobs Safeguarded; Jobs Created; Skills Assisted; Increased Profit and GVA, and as more projects come into fruition, it is key that we are able to obtain and collate this information from clients who have completed projects. This will ultimately ensure that we have strong grounds to approach ERDF and the local LEPs for future funding to continue this highly successful project (albeit in a different guise). Therefore we are extremely eager to engage with our members and initiate projects to reach these targets.

Therefore as highlighted throughout the project, now is the time to get in contact before funding runs out, and just as importantly, please attend our future BE events as showing this support to other members by sharing best practice/knowledge through networking really counts.

We wish to welcome the following new members to the BEP:

    BE Member Networking Events
As detailed last month and highlighted in this month’s newsletter, we are now in full promotion mode regarding our next Business Excellence Event at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power on the 13 June and are looking forward to the event attracting a large number of our Business Excellence members – new and old; however we do have a limited number of slots available to attend.

The Cholmondeley Pageant of Power is the North West’s most entertaining and adrenaline-fuelled automotive event, featuring incredible cars racing around the country estate’s circuit, and this year our members can be part of the action.

The meeting will start at 9am and will consist of presentations from NAA members who work in the field of motorsport, including BAC and Juno. The meeting will end at 12.15 when a light buffet will be available. Following lunch, you will be free to remain at the event and enjoy the action on the track for the rest of the day.

We are excited to announce that one person attending the Business Excellence meeting at this year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power will be winning a completely unique opportunity, offered by Ford, to drive around the Pageant of Power circuit.  Also, for those people attending the event, there will also be a draw on the day for a drive of the awesome BAC Mono at a later date (car that set the second-fastest ever lap time on Top Gear).

All you need to do to enter both of these competitions is sign up to attend the Business Excellence meeting at this year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power on Friday 13 June.

Please contact Zoe Desoer-Green to book your place and the save disappointment ASAP! (zoe@nwautoalliance.com)

We plan to hold two further meetings later in the year. Many of our members face similar challenges, and attendees have all found the visits incredibly informative. If you wish to increase your profile and support BEP by hosting a Business Excellence Networking meeting, please would you contact Amanda or Martina Rodrigues (m.rodrigues@nwautoalliance.com) to explore the opportunity.

Finally, as this is my last newsletter article, I’d like to take this opportunity to say that it’s been a pleasure working with all the Business Excellence members, and I wish you lots of success with your businesses. And you never know, our paths might cross once again in the future!
