NAA Business Excellence Programme Update: New members, new projects, new events
This past month has once again been extremely busy supporting companies with applications for Business Excellence mentoring and technical support and we have now received applications to subsidise 82 projects; the vast majority of which have been supported and progressed. We have also seen a surge in new members wishing to gain support through the project which is fantastic news for all involved
As stated last month, there is a considerable amount of funding remaining in all other North West areas outside of Merseyside, so please contact myself or Amanda Holmes (a.holmes@nwautoalliance.com) if you would like support.
New Members
Over recent weeks, membership has increased dramatically to 97 members due to the addition of 11 new companies requiring support through the programme and we are working on increased numbers of new projects throughout the region with many more on the horizon.
We therefore welcome the following companies to the programme:

We have a busy month regarding Business Excellence Networking events taking place across the region!
The NAA is hosting a Member Networking event at Pirelli in Carlisle on 20 November and we have organised a BE new member registration opportunity prior to the start of the networking event. We are therefore in the process of contacting Cumbrian and North Lancashire based businesses to attend this event which will give them an opportunity to join the programme and attend the event at Pirelli (at no cost) afterwards.
The registrations will take place from 10.30am until 12.00 noon (appointment slots to be arranged closer to event) and will lead into the main NAA member networking event and lunch; which promises to be a great event at a very impressive site. If you are aware of any supply chain contacts that you may have in this area; please make them aware of this event and ask them to make contact with us prior to book their places.
In addition to this, the next Business Excellence networking meeting will be held on Thursday 5 December. It will commence at 11.45am with a tour of Scorpion Automotive, guided by MD Mark Downing and will then move to the David Lloyd Club at Chorley (about 1 mile away) for lunch, and presentations from:

- Wendy Bowers, Winning Pitch – Growth Accelerator

Again, due to the success of the programme so far, it is clear that there is great benefit to be gained from becoming a member of the Business Excellence network and we recommend joining soon to take full advantage of the funding available for Mentoring and Technical Support projects.
