NAA Event Review: How Will Net Zero Impact the Automotive Supply Chain?
Last month saw members gather at fellow NAA member Businesswise Solutions’ Energy Centre at Nelson for a roundtable debate on decarbonising the automotive supply chain.
There was comprehensive representation from across the supply chain, including OEMs, Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, together with attendance from DIT and a number of local universities.
Participants were given an overview of Net Zero including scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions requirements by Adam Baker, Director of Business Development at Businesswise Solutions.
A lively roundtable debate then followed, covering the challenges of decarbonising the supply chain; where the various elements of the supply chain are on this journey and what are the current barriers to the sector achieving Net Zero.
The discussion wrapped up with the view that Net Zero should be seen as an opportunity and not just an obligation.
