NAA Event Review: OMRON – Flexible Manufacturing Roadshow
Our latest networking event last month saw us visit the Flexible Manufacturing Roadshow, hosted by NAA member OMRON at the RAF Museum in Cosford, where participants were able to experience real-life flexible manufacturing enabled by i-Automation.
Powered by 90 years of groundbreaking innovation, OMRON’s Flexible Manufacturing Roadshow brought participants the opportunity to experience a wide range of solutions that redefine flexible, efficient, and sustainable production for the factory of the future, usually inaccessible beyond the factory due to their size and scale.
Participants were able to experience complete solutions to solve the current issues and pains of manufacturers including:
• Flexible palletising and autonomous material transportation
• Complete material handling process from conveyors to pallets
• Mobile Manipulator (MoMa) combining flexibility and mobility
• Latest mixed fleet management and mobile robot navigation features
• IoT dashboard
• Built-in serialisation & traceability
• Private and secure 5G network facilitating high-speed and robust communication
These were delivered and supported by a range of OMRON’s partners, including:
