Future Skills for Advanced Manufacturing
On Thursday 13 November, Burnley College is hosting a joint networking event in partnership with ourselves (NAA) and the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA). The event, titled “Future Skills for Advanced Manufacturing”, will run from 12:00 to 15:30 and will bring together industry leaders, employers, and educators to explore the evolving skills landscape in advanced manufacturing. Guest speakers from Burnley College, Blackpool & The Fylde College, and East Lancs Learning Group, who are all partners of the Lancashire & Cumbria Institute of Technology, will showcase how regional colleges are working in partnership to address workforce challenges, share best practices, and shape the future talent pipeline that will drive innovation and growth across the sector.

Future-Proofing Production: Proactive Steps for Cybersecurity in Manufacturing

Hosted by the NWRC, attendees will gain an understanding of how to build cyber resilience in manufacturing, minimise downtime, protect production, manage cyber risk, and implement proactive cybersecurity steps to future-proof their operations. Niomie Haynes, with her background in fraud prevention and cybersecurity, will share insights on reducing cybercrime against businesses in today’s digital world.

Join us for our last working event of 2025! The event will be hosted by CEVA Logistics, a leading supplier of complete supply chain design, end-to-end logistics solutions, and implementation in contract logistics and freight management, whether individually or in combination. CEVA, Speke, pride themselves on their modern 130,000 sq ft facility. As a multi-user site, they offer dangerous goods storage, kitting, and e-commerce services, specialising in supply chain sequencing and warehousing across the automotive sector.
