NAA Member Company News: Helical Technology success with RGF bid
Projects in the North West have been conditionally awarded £81m of the £506m being made available by the Government through the fourth round of the Regional Growth Fund,
The money is intended to help companies to expand their operations, create new jobs and stimulate private sector growth.
The RGF is a flexible and competitive £3.2bn fund operating across England from 2011 to 2017. It supports projects and programmes that are using private sector investment to create economic growth and sustainable employment.
The 102 companies and intermediaries selected nationally were whittled down through a competitive process from a long list of 309 applications which asked for over £1.9bn.
All of the awards are subject to due diligence.
The North West bids with conditional offers are:
- Accelerating Business Growth PLUS, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council programme
- Bright Future Software, Salford
- Unleashing Cumbria’s Potential, Cumbria County Council programme
- Cygnet Group, Northwich
- EA Technology, Capenhurst
- Turning Discovery Science and Knowledge into Jobs and Growth, Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership programme, £10m to help university and hospital spin-offs and small and medium businesses to establish themselves in the Enterprise Zone
- Helical Technology, Lytham
- Liverpool City Region Small Business Support Fund, Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership programme, £5m to offer support to small businesses in the area, including those locating in the enterprise zones in Mersey Waters, Daresbury and City Centre Enterprise Zone
