TISS won the coveted award for its exceptional export growth which saw international sales rise from 13% to 45% of the company’s turnover in just 3 years.
A year on from the win and the Blackpool-based company has achieved further business growth which it attributes to the gravitas of winning such a prestigious award.
Matthew Rose, Director at TISS Ltd, said “Winning this award has certainly led to more success for us domestically and overseas. In the past year our international sales have risen again and have, for the first time, overtaken domestic sales. Receiving the Queen’s Award was fantastic recognition for everyone involved with the business and has given the entire team a fantastic boost. To capitalise on the opportunities created by winning the Award we have also increased our staff numbers by 20%.”
In the past 12 months TISS has added a further 18 new overseas distributors to its already impressive portfolio of partners, in addition to agreeing major deals with two leading truck manufacturers. But the good news didn’t end there; shortly after winning the Queen’s Award TISS scooped two further awards at the Northwest Automotive Alliance Awards, taking home the International Trade Award and Company of the Year Award, fending off competition from some of the biggest automotive companies in the UK.
