UTAC UK Leyland site welcomed the team from the Blackpool and The Fylde College in April. The visit was highly educational for both staff and engineering students from different engineering pathways, such as mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics, general engineering, robotics and automation and automotive.
It was a great chance for the engineering students to learn from the UTAC UK Leyland management team and gain firsthand insights into essential testing processes and show them the practical side of an engineering business.
Karen Whiteside, Curriculum Manager at Blackpool and The Fylde College says: “A big thank you to the UTAC team for their warm hospitality and for taking the time to showcase their operations. Your openness in answering our questions made the experience even more valuable.
