Empowering Lancashire: Developing a Workforce for the Future

Lancashire Skills and Employment is not a training provider; it is a supporter, influencer, and facilitator for skills and employability.

Using our network of partners, and by linking with both local and central government we assist businesses with accessing training, retaining staff in the workplace, and recruitment. We help tailor short training programmes for your needs, 75% funded through the Skills Bootcamp programme. We have the links and connections allowing you to tap into the talent emerging from our schools, colleges, and universities. We improve your social value, diversity, and inclusion by connecting you with partners that deliver employability skills to those with barriers to the workplace. We advise and support the use of apprenticeships for upskilling and recruitment. We influence sectors, such as digital, by linking public and private organisations working in the same field.

At its core, Lancashire Skills & Employment Hub is about more than just filling gaps in the workforce. It’s about creating the infrastructure and networks that support businesses. The world of training and development is ever-changing and can seem too complex and chaotic for a business to understand or access. We monitor and analyse the labour market, and we follow policy and best practices, so you don’t have to.

We offer a way for any business to access training and talent pools through the Lancashire Skills Pledge. With our eight pledges, you can get the guidance and support to connect with academic settings throughout Lancashire, understand the power of apprenticeships and Skills Bootcamps, and find those who are working towards employability.
