NAA Update: Apply now for the Northwest Automotive Alliance Awards and book now for LCV2014
The schools are back, Cenex LCV2013 has been and gone, applications for the NAA Awards have to be submitted within 20 days, so it must be autumn!
I hope that you are all refreshed from your summer vacations and raring to go. We have over 200 attending the NAA Annual Dinner on 6 November; so a prime opportunity to market your company is for you to make an application for an award. All companies who get shortlisted are highlighted in the awards presentation.
While we are busy signing up new companies and starting new projects for Business Excellence, we still need to finalise the outputs from the first phase, so if you receive a call from us please help us to complete all our documentation requirements for the end of September; otherwise we will be subject to penalties within the project.
As you will see in the Cenex LCV2013 article, the UK’s leading low carbon vehicle show was a very successful event and the companies who attended with us were very pleased with both the event and our support to help them attend. It is never too early to start the plan, so we are already starting to think about next year’s stand; if you think that it may be the right venue for you, then please speak to one of us and we can help explain the benefits and give you the opportunity to discuss it with others.
This month’s newsletter focuses on technology, and with the report from LCV2013 we have taken the opportunity to feature mi Technology (one of the NAA members who took advantage of having space on the NAA stand) together with an in-the-driving-seat article on Paul Wilkinson who has recently joined the NAA Board.
We will be displaying at the NW MAS conference on 12 September so come along and say hello to us and take the opportunity to meet our new member of staff Amanda Allen. Amanda will be supporting Martin on the Business Excellence projects for 60% of her time and the rest of the time supporting myself, primarily in event and marketing-based activities. We had planned to hold our next Business Excellence Networking Meeting on the 12th, but have delayed it because of the MAS Conference, please keep an eye open for emails from Zoe, the website and the October newsletter for a revised date.
If you would like to be part of the Welsh Autolink Technology exhibition on Thursday 14 November, which coincides with the start of Wales Rally GB, then please let us know. There are still spaces and it is an ideal opportunity for your technology to be on display, the organisers are also encouraging non-automotive companies to participate.
It is also not too early to ensure that you have the next NAA members networking event on 20th November in your diary, as for many you will need to plan in advance as it is an opportunity to visit Pirelli in Carlisle. I can thoroughly recommend you book the time in your diary as I have found my tours of the facility fascinating.
I also hope that you have replied to the NAA survey during the summer period, this is the opportunity for everyone to let us have their comments about how you want us to shape our membership offering in the future; if you haven’t, please complete it and return it quickly to Zoe.
I look forward to meeting you at our events during the remainder of the year.
