NAA Update: End of Business Excellence; it’s time to convert to NAA membership
Our Business Excellence event at Cholmondeley celebrated the end of the BE programme, so now is the time for companies to convert to NAA membership; it’s also time to enter for the NAA Awards; and please take part in the AIP skills survey…
After five years we are coming to the end of the Business Excellence programme, but we are still as busy as ever with the project; for example this week I kicked-off the very last project, they really do have to motor to ensure that everything is completed by 30th June! Which is a reminder to all of you that 30th June is the very last date for submission of invoices to us or you will end up footing the bill…! The key change on 1st July is that we will only have one class of membership and that is NAA members, so if you are a BE member and not an NAA member, I urge you to take a look at the membership offer that we have for you (link to Membership Offer). Don’t forget, as I said at CPOP on Friday, “Join us”, “Use us” or “Lose us”!
As part of the government sector industrial strategy the focus is shifting from education and local authorities to industry and implementing the provision of skills and training firmly in the hands of the sector. That is where the Automotive Industrial Partnership needs your help. This is a one chance in a lifetime to influence the provision that we have, so if you are within either the automotive, commercial vehicle or off-highway supply chain then please take the time to complete the survey (link to AIP Article). If you have any questions on it then please contact the AIP team or Martina or myself at the NAA.
It’s June, so while most people are starting to think about holidays, for us at NAA we are getting into Annual Awards & Dinner mode. This month we are launching the Awards application process and would recommend that anyone thinking of applying for an award attends the Awards Workshop with Morson on 2nd July. Remember this is a significant marketing opportunity for you; not only will you be in the brochure which is seen by the 300+ attendees at the event, you may even win the award and benefit from the associated publicity that goes with it; surely it’s a no-brainer!
Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to all of you who have participated in the Business Excellence programme whether as a beneficiary company or as a provider; we have laid the foundation of best practice in the sector support arena and know that others are copying us. The new European ESIF programme is being operated differently, but we will be working to make sure that the experience and learning is not lost, and any influence we have to replicate BE or improve on it, we will be on the case!
