Leyland Trucks has achieved a major milestone for UK electric light and heavy-duty truck manufacturing, with its factory based in Lancashire now capable of producing 30 battery electric trucks every day!
This impressive achievement is the result of ZETTA, a £5.1 million project with a £2.6 million government grant funded through the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC), and developed by a consortium of Leyland Trucks,Expert Technologies Group and HSSMI.
Find out more about the project here: https://obi41.nl/yckpz283
ZETTA was funded through the APC’s collaborative R&D programme, now known as DRIVE35 Collaborate. If you’re working with or leading a consortium on a new project that falls within one or more of the scope themes – manufacturing competitiveness, zero emission vehicles, and Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) and Electronic and Electrical Architectures (EEA) – your business could also benefit from funding!
Applications for Collaborate are open until 18 March 2026. Find out more and apply here:https://obi41.nl/5n9bbbw5
