SEMA, Las Vegas, USA, 3-6 November 2015
The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. The SEMA Show is a trade-only event and not open to the general public. As part of the AAIW, the SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries for unlimited profit opportunities in the automotive, truck and SUV, powersports, and RV markets.
Auto Expo Components show, India, 4 – 7 February 2016
The 13th Auto Expo 2016 is a showcase for the Indian automobile and auto-component industry. SMMT will organise a UK pavilion group at the exhibition.
AAITF Shenzhen, China, 26-28 February 2016
SMMT will be taking an exhibitor group to the Auto Aftermarket Industry and Tuning trade fair in Shenzhen, strategically located on the outskirt of Hong Kong and Guangdong province.
Automechanika Middle East, Dubai, UAE, 8–10 May 2016
SMMT is once again organising a UK exhibitor group to UAE’s leading Automotive Trade Fair, covering all sections of the industry. UKTI TAP grants may be available enhanced for first time exhibitors.
EVS 29 Montreal, Canada, Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exhibition, 18 – 22 June 2016
SMMT is planning a varied programme of activities to ensure that UK-based companies have a high profile at this key global forum for low carbon vehicle technologies. SMMT plans include an exhibitor package, a showcase seminar, plus networking opportunities.

Largest Aftermarket show in the world. SMMT in association with UKTI, once again is organising the UK Pavilion at the exhibition. Automechanika Frankfurt attracts a large world wide visitor and exhibitor attendance.
Trade mission to Iran and Nigeria, November 2016
SMMT is considering taking a trade mission to Iran and Nigeria in 2016, depending on members’ interest.
Vehicles manufacturers world-wide are looking at opportunities in Iran that the opening of the economy may offer. According to OICA statistics, Iran sold over 1.2m vehicles and produced just under 1.1m vehicles in 2014, making Iran one of the largest car markets in the Middle East.
Nigeria has the largest population in Africa and in 2014 overtook South Africa to be the largest economy on the continent. The country is attracting attention from global automakers with VW, Honda and Tata all having recently announced plans for investment or the resumption of production there.
SMMT is considering taking a trade mission to one of these countries in November 2016.
