Call for partners: Expertise sought in areas including aluminium pressing and injection moulding

Ventive Ltd has developed a passive heat-recovery ventilation system for retrofitting into the built environment and to take this product to market the company is now looking for partners that can assist in mass manufacturing of the product or individual components

Ventive Ltd has developed a passive heat-recovery ventilation system for retrofitting into the built environment, supplying airtight buildings with fresh air while retaining their thermal insulation performance. The product is cheaper and easier to install than mechanical ventilation and has no running costs, resulting in an improved return on retrofit investment.

The UK has a retrofit target of 700,000 homes per year for the next decade. As each of these buildings will require some form of ventilation after retrofitting, the market for heat-recovery ventilation runs into £2.8 billion pa. VentiveTM is expected to capture a large share of this market, based on its offer of reduced installation costs and maintenance costs, as well as zero-cost operation.

VentiveTM is fully developed and has been installed in selected proof-of-concept locations. To take this product to market, Ventive is now looking for partners that can assist in mass manufacturing of the product or individual components.

Expertise sought in partners includes aluminium pressing and injection moulding, with component size typically in the 50cm – 1m range.

Ventive is happy to consider a range of commercial engagements for the mutual benefit of the partners. In addition, the forthcoming Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative ( http://bit.ly/v1D8yA ) from the TSB could secure partial support from the government for development of Ventive’s supply chain. Ventive is very experienced and has been successful in securing similar funding streams and would be happy to lead a proposal with the right partners, but would welcome any input that the partners can provide.
