NAA Event Review: NAA Members’ Forum, AMRC North West
Our most recent networking event, held last month, was our inaugural NAA Members’ Forum, held at NAA member AMRC North West’s state-of-the-art facility in Samlesbury, Blackburn.
Following extensive member feedback, the event was designed to help members connect with and develop potential new business relationships. It included the opportunity for all of the 40 attending member companies to make a short 2-minute, 2-slide pitch regarding their organisation’s capabilities and / or needs. The pitches were grouped into two sessions, with lunch and refreshment breaks included, that provided plenty of opportunity for attendees to network with each other.
Professor Andy Schofield, Chair of the North West Regional Defence and Security Cluster, was also in attendance and provided members with an overview of potential routes into and opportunities in the defence sector.
Finally, Sylvain Passot, Operations Manager at AMRC North West, provided delegates with a guided tour of the facility, whose goal is to help the North West region’s manufacturing community access advanced technologies that will drive improvements in productivity, performance and quality.
