    Scantime Training

    Background

Scantime is the leading 3rd-party provider of PLC training. We understand how important it is for engineers to be able to work with PLCs safely and efficiently in all industries. We’re working to establish a recognised standard in PLC training, so everyone from newly-qualified to time-served engineers can safely fault-find and maintain the PLCs within their production environment.

What can you offer to NAA members?

Avoidable downtime costs the UK economy an estimated £23 billion annually with 55% of maintenance budgets spend on reactive activities.  You can help reduce this with proactive training in PLCs.  At Scantime, we deliver hands-on PLC training that equips your team with the practical skills and confidence needed to work safely, efficiently, and independently on today’s fast-paced, highly automated shop-floors.

Our flagship courses include our City & Guilds Assured Industrial Maintenance & Fault Finding Pro (IMFFP®), which focuses on troubleshooting and real-world breakdown scenarios, whilst our Industrial Programming Pro has been designed for technicians looking to deepen their PLC programming knowledge.

We provide training across all major PLC platforms, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Omron at our fully equipped training centres, located in Gateshead and Alderley Park, home to a vibrant and fast growing community of companies, including ourselves.

In addition to training, our Automation department offers a range of industrial support services, including Disaster Recovery, Troubleshooting, and Refurbishment. Whether it’s recovering a failed system, upgrading outdated hardware, or improving operational resilience, we’re here to keep your production moving.

As proud members of the Automotive Alliance, we’re keen to work alongside fellow members and build new relationships with automotive companies across the Midlands. With a growing demand for skilled automation engineers in the region, we’re excited to play our part in supporting the sector through training, collaboration, and industrial expertise.

Whether you’re preparing your team for shutdowns, investing in long-term capability, or responding to urgent system issues, Scantime is your partner in PLC training and industrial automation support.
