    What do you do?
    Provider of outstanding education and training across a broad range of Automotive, Engineering and Business disciplines from Apprenticeships to Honours Degree programmes. We co-create education with our employer partners to provide bespoke training packages that support their businesses growth and development.

    What markets are you in?
    We currently work in a broad range of Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing sectors including; Automotive, Nuclear, Aerospace, Chemical, Polymers. Along with Engineering Technical Training we also provide training in Technical Support functions such as Design, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management and Project Management.

    What can you offer to NAA members?
    Education and training across a wide range of Automotive, Advanced Engineering and Business functions, from Automotive Engineering and Manufacturing training to Software Development, Management and Finance. With our extensive experience in Higher Education we offer collaboration in research projects that support business functions and technical development.

    How would you like to work with members?
    We recognise that the single most important part of any organisation are the people that work there. At Blackpool and The Fylde College we have a long-standing record of co-creating training packages with our partners to ensure that they get the best out of their employees. Investing in training and development programmes that returns employees investment in their businesses. We promote the use of our facilities, where this may benefit our partners. Within our Higher Education provision, we actively work on Collaborative Research Projects with employer partners. We work to secure placement opportunities for students on work experience, internships and joint project working.

    What is your unique offer?
    We work with our employer partners on co-creation of education and training packages that are bespoke to their business needs. We invest heavily in facilities and equipment makes Blackpool and The Fylde College one of best resourced training centres in the UK. Providing industry leading resources and equipment in Automotive Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring that we can provide the skills required by industry.

    Working with our network of employer partners we are continuously reviewing our provision, which ensures we remain focused on current and emerging technology and industry developments.
    Our close relationships with employer partners ensure we can respond quickly to the needs of our customers, reflected in our comprehensive range of technical training packages and accredited up-skilling courses.

    The use of industry-leading software and equipment is embedded through our Honours Degree courses, and our students become proficient users of programmes such as GT Suite, Siemens Star-CCM+, Autodesk Inventor, MAT Lab and MSC Adams.

    Our £10 million Advanced Technology Centre houses a comprehensive suite of practical resources where our students can take their research designs from concept to practical application.  Our after-market workshops and R&D facilities give students and commercial customers access to: 3D printers; Faro Arm; Armfield wind tunnels; Colchester CNC lathes; EMCO CNC machines; Instron Tensile Testing facility; ABB Robotic suite; Hydraulic and Pneumatic Design and Test suite; SuperFlow Flow Bench; SuperFlow AutoDyn Chassis, Motorcycle and Engine Dynamometers, housed in individual anechoic rooms; Suspension Dynamometer suite; Car-O-Liner jig; electric and gas welding suites; Junair Quad System Fully Extracting booth, five individual test and prep. booths; eco-compliant paint mixing facility; Hybrid Electric Vehicle simulator; Hella Gutmann ADAS calibration system; electronic 4 wheel alignment; Bosch, Snap-On and IDS diagnostics and Class 4 MOT bay.
