Since 1854, AMANN has been a leading international manufacturer of high-quality sewing threads, embroidery threads and Smart Yarns.
Together with customers and partners, we develop intelligent products, individual solutions and innovative concepts for the market needs of today and tomorrow. In doing so, we combine tradition and innovation into functional threads for a wide range of different applications.
The AMANN Group employs approx., 2,600 employees in 8 manufacturing locations and has subsidiaries in 19 countries.
AMANN sewing and embroidery threads are manufactured exclusively in our own production facilities in Europe and Asia. This means that uniform process standards are firmly anchored at all production sites, enabling maximum flexibility and proximity to key customers.
AMANN Threads UK Limited employs approximately 250 highly skilled and dedicated team members. The Ashton-under-Lyne factory produces approx. 1,500 tonnes per year, mostly for the demanding automotive safety critical applications.
The majority of our products are exported to all the major automotive safety manufacturers for the production of airbags, interior trim, seatbelts and steering wheels.
