We are a Manchester-based global Intellectual Property (IP)) firm. Examples of IP we work with include patents, trade marks, designs and copyright. We help clients protect, enforce and maximise the value of their intellectual property to support them in achieving their commercial objectives.
We work in partnership with businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the world and have considerable experience working with OEMs, and tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers in the automotive sector.
Marks & Clerk LLP work with a number of NAA members (Bentley Motors, E+R, Helical Technology), together with numerous other tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers across the UK. We are keen to be an active and integral part of the network and want to be members’ ‘first port of call’ whenever they have any query relating to IP. We pride ourselves on being approachable and welcome an initial informal discussion to see what we can do to help. We can support members with any matter relating to IP, whether relating to UK, Europe or further afield. Not only can we help members protect and enforce their own IP, but we can also help members who are facing the threat of action from one of their competitors. Not only do we cover the four key types of IP – patents, trade marks designs and copyright – but we can also help with neighbouring legal matters such as non-disclosure agreements, collaboration agreements, assignments and licencing agreements.
